Well the submissions have started to come in… :)

The closing date has yet to be announced – expect that mid-week – but as the exhibition is committe to start sometime during September, so it’s not getting dark too early, the closing date can’t be that far away… so get crackin’!

We’ll start uploading submissions via the blog here – and eventually, after the closing date, set up a gallery so that you can easily see what’s been sent in.

Then it’s down to the judges. I think we have a good mix… some old-school, some not-so-much…

So, one final pointer as you consider creating something for this fine exhibition – and even based on the few entries so far, it will be fine – don’t consider this a ‘poster design’ competition.

I’ve attached two images which were the original concept illustrations used to explain to folks what I wanted to do and it’s pretty close to what will happen to your work, hence no specifics regarding dimensions or proportions… do whatever you like.

Your work will be going onto posters but the posters will be designed in such a way to ‘present’ your work. Your work is your work, not the poster, the poster is only the facilitator of your work.

So, hope that’s of help – if not, use the comment feature and we’ll get this mess sorted eventually!
